Handcrafted Wines

Crafting wines requires a perfect balance of taste and quality. In growing a repertoire of varietals, we care for each vine and work to bring our wines to their fullest potential. We strive to respect the natural flavors of the grape and the environment, by practicing sustainable irrigation and developing more climate-friendly grapes.

We offer a variety of our estate reserves, both red and white, in addition to our port. Below are a few of our award winning wines, noted for their finesse, oak integration, and smooth tannins. To read more about recent competitions and the most up-to-date awards for Vineyard Grant James wines, head over to press releases on the blog.

Sustainable Farming

Practices

In the arid climate of eastern San Diego, our farming practices reflect our values of passion and integrity.

We are committed to sustainable farming practices and continuously updating grape growing practices. It's a part of our mission to tend our vines with care and similarly, our natural resources which make us able to grow.

Our winemaker is currently working with UC Davis to establish drought tolerant and heat resistant grape varietals best suited for climate and soil type found in Ramona, California.

Partnering with the Community

Our winery is about something bigger.

Our lead winemaker has been recognized as an outstanding community member by previous State Senator Joel Anderson. From implementing more drought-tolerant farming techniques to donating to and hosting a number of Ramona High School events, we are proud to be an establishment in this beautiful, hillside town.

We work with other wineries in the area through the Ramona Valley Vineyard Association to bring amazing, community wide wine events to the heart of East County every year.
